New Patient Treatment Guide
We are here to assist you before, during and after your visit to The Life Chiropractic & Wellness Centre, so that you can feel equipped to take control of your healthcare.
Please call us if you have any questions relating to our treatment options on 041 581 1177.
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you and will request that you complete our patient forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
Cost: R600 (New Patient) / R500 (Pensioner or Student) / R400 (Babies)
Next, you will have a consultation with your Chiropractor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options.
After your consultation, we will perform a complete chiropractic examination using standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests.
Depending on your specific condition, we may recommend you go for X-rays or an MRI scan before any treatment plan can be initiated.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, we will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
How can you help me? How often do I need to come in? What will my treatment cost?
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you can choose to experience your first treatment. We use a variety of different techniques and you are welcome to express your preferences and concerns about the different styles of treatment.
You do not have to be in pain or suffering with any particular problem to enjoy chiropractic treatment. Many of our patients simply visit us on a regular basis because it makes them feel good. They feel looser, more aligned, less tense and generally healthier. Patients who do this typically come in once every few months and are sure to have a healthier spine until a ripe old age!

Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) is considered to be the leading evidence based multidisciplinary tool in the conservative management of subacute and chronic conditions relating to the musculoskeletal system.
Shockwave therapy is a multidisciplinary device used in orthopaedics, physiotherapy, sports medicine, urology and veterinary medicine. Shock wave therapy is a noninvasive method that uses pressure waves to treat various musculoskeletal conditions.
High-energy acoustic waves (shock waves) deliver a mechanical force to the body’s tissues. Its main assets are fast pain relief and mobility restoration. Together with being a non-surgical therapy with no need for painkillers makes it an ideal therapy to speed up recovery and cure various indications causing acute, subacute or chronic pain.
